Geospatial Science and Technology College (GSTC)

Geospatial Sciences and Geomatics Education Group Sdn Bhd (GSGEGSB), owned by Yayasan Kebajikan Jurukur Tanah Berdaftar (YKJTB), Persatuan Juruukur Tanah Bertauliah (PEJUTA), and Koperasi Jurukur Tanah Berlesen (KOJUTA), was established to create the first private higher education institution managed by GSGEGSB, distinguished by its niche geospatial programme. In pursuit of this goal, the Geospatial Science and Technology College (GSTC) was founded.

GSTC currently operates within the premises of the Lembaga Jurukur Tanah (LJT), further strengthening its institutional ties with the national land surveying and geomatics community. The College offers educational opportunities for fresh school leavers to pursue studies in the geospatial industry, utilizing technology that is highly sought after by the business sector.

Guided by the motto ‘Let Your Future Begins Here’, Geospatial Science and Technology College (GSTC) aims to become a leading institution in geospatial education at both national and international levels. GSTC is committed to providing quality education and developing human capital in the geospatial and technology industries. The College prioritises the development of skilled and competent workforce through high-quality education and training, and seeks to facilitate upskilling programmes in various geospatial technologies to ensure the sustainability of related professions.

Established in 2013, GSTC presently offers Certificate and Diploma programmes that integrate real-world practices in land surveying as a pathway to professional success. All programmes are approved by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), accredited by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA), and highly recognised by the Land Surveyor Board in Peninsular Malaysia. GSTC is also recognised as Accredited Centre (Pusat Bertauliah) under the Department of Skills Development (JPK), through which the College offers Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 in Geomatics and Land Surveying. This nationally accredited, skills-based qualification complements the institution’s MOHE-approved and MQA-accredited academic programmes, equipping students with both technical proficiency and industry-relevant competencies.

In essence, graduates from GSTC are well-prepared to ‘map their future’, with opportunities to further their studies at public or private universities. They also have the option to begin their careers immediately in both the government and private sectors within the field of geomatics and land surveying.
